When I was young
I laughed from my belly
Cycled till my legs were sore
And rambled on with my curious questions
When I was young
I met some people
I tried to fit in
I tried to be a different me
When I was old
I realised I’m not like them
So I cried and hurt myself
Till I felt no more
When I was old
I met some people
I did fit in
I started to learn what it’s like to really be me
Now I’m timeless, I still hurt but I also laugh from my belly.
