A funny thing it is to be seen,
You go about your whole life wondering what it may feel like…
So much so that when it actually happens, it feels like you’re walking on eggshells.
Ive thought of a few reasons I may have felt this way, and maybe you have too –
Way too much of time is spent elsewhere, other than the present moment, constantly creating and thinking of what if scenarios, either based on the past or future.
What Now? It really flings u back to the now, and you be like what now? And there’s so much S P A C E and time, no wonder we’re constantly filling it with anything random that comes our way (you know what I’m talking about).
We go on thinking life is like a game of Tetris.. or Snake (who’s really good at those games anyway? {if you are, you’re amazing, if not, you’re amazing})
But it’s more like, in millennial terms, a new phone – lots of potential, only if we don’t fill it with crap from our past phones and media from tons of people, other than ourselves.
Gets u thinking yeah šš
Ah, there’s always something about blank canvases: scares some, excites some, numbs some –
Just gotta get outta our heads a little, forget who we are or what we are, and be…
What now?
What now!
What now…
* This piece was essentially inspired by receiving love from my dear friends (by wondering how to respond to it), and by Dr. Shefali (whose ‘What now?’ theory moved from knowing to understanding)
